New York’s New Green Deal to Double Solar Power

Image
As New York State is moving towards the  green energy  after Governor Andrew Cuomo’s proposed deal, the state is expected to double its  solar power  production in the coming years. The governor had a proposal for 100%  Clean Energy  by 2040 and with the green deal he is following up with details on the path to get there. Experts opined that after the culmination of the said deal by 2025, New York will be able to distribute approximate 6GW  solar energy , which is much higher than its current distribution of 3GW. The New Green Deal concept has been championed by the first term U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and this is an expression of the larger political climate that surrounds wind and  solar power  in the United States. Governor Cumo in his far-ranging 2019 State of the State presentation summarized clearly the past positions related to energy and has added future goals. Termed as a ‘globally unprecedente...

How to Use Your Old Solar Panels?

Image
Solar  has become one of the most popular sources of  renewable energy  since the past few years and there are many who opted for this before also. Now, as time passes, those panels despite being a terrific technology have become older and also have crossed their warranty lifetime. However, these  solar modules  no longer need to simply wind up in the landfill once they’re decommissioned. Remember, if your panels are shattered or cracked, they can still serve a purpose through recycling process. You can also reuse it as a power source for a smaller project or replacement panel. iSolarWorld  has found four effective ways through which you can re-use your  old solar panels : Sell your panel at reselling market There are many online platforms reselling used panels. Top Five US Colleges to Study Renewable Energy

Image
It is believed that on a finite planet Earth, we will never have infinite resources and therefore, the need to efficiently utilize the resources that our environment affords us is vital for the future of not just our own way of life, but also for the broader ecosystem. Without any surprise, one of the blossoming fields of study with a vibrant future is nothing but  studying sustainable and renewable energy . The  Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)  in the United States in its latest report defined a green job as a career which ‘produces goods or provides services that benefit the environment or conserve natural resources’. Wind Energy,  Solar Power , or Green Construction are some of the career options fall into this category. According to the BLS, Wind Turbine Service Technician is the fastest growing career from now until the year 2024, with an expected growth rate of 108%. Many of us are looking toward more predictable growth from 2019 after the solar industry chaos of 2018. The tax credit will go to zero for residential and 10% for the commercial on December 31, 2021, as predicted by the experts in this sector. And after that, we will be on ‘ solar coaster ’. a rosy picture can be predicted for the  US solar sector  and stability can also be seen. Following the previous year’s development in the solar industry,  iSolarWorld  predicts top five ‘in thing’ for the US solar industry that will happen in 2019. Solar Installations Will Increase: Residential installations are at a standstill, but, solar as a whole is climbing. The TheUnited States has installed 4.7 gigawatts of solar power in 2018. Over 1 GW of  utility-scale solar  has hit for the past 11 consecutive quarters and utility-scale solar represents 55 percent of 2018 installed solar capacity. Renewable Energy Portfolio Standards to Take the Forefront Und...

Growth to Continue in US Solar Sector in 2019

The  renewable energy  sector remained remarkably resilient in the United State gaining ground despite uncertainty about the effects of federal tax reform legislation and a spate of new import tariffs by the Trump administration. through the third quarter of 2018, the output from utility-scale wind and solar capacity topped 8 percent of total US electricity generation. In 2017, it was merely seven percent for the same period. Now, when the New Year bell is ringing, let’s take a glimpse of the  solar sector  in the country and how this industry will shape in 2019. Emerging policies, expanding investment, advanced technologies In the coming year, experts see three trends coming into sharper focus and these are likely to shape renewable growth. These trends include emerging policies that will support renewable growth, expanding investor interest in the sector and advance technologies that will boost wind and solar energy’s value to the grid, asset owners and als...
